Howdy!

For those participating in The Great Movie Challenge of 2012: How’s it going?   Wasn’t CHRONICLE awesome?  Isn’t THE AVENGERS overrated?  :)

For those that don’t know about the challenge: Did you click that link?  No?  Well, you kinda need to click it in order to understand the rest of this post.  So…just click!   I’ll wait.

..

Hey, welcome back!

Just wanted to let you know that if you have not kept track of the movies you’ve seen this year, it’s not too late to start!

You also might be thinking, “I’ve only seen seven or eight films…I can’t win anything in this contest.”

Not true!  First of all, to be honest, I’ve only seen under twenty films released in 2012.  Yeah, I’m slacking.

Also, they’ll be prizes for all sorts of things unrelated to the amount of films you’ve seen.  And more prizes are in the works!

Lastly, the main point of the challenge is that it’s fun.  I’ve already had great conversations explaining why MOONRISE KINGDOM is better than THE AVENGERS, and that CHRONICLE is this year’s SOURCE CODE for me. (See my Best Movies of 2011 for what I thought of Source Code)

So, let’s keep watching and ranking those films!  Check back here now and then for updates on prizes, and if you ever have a question, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line.*

Onward!

-Eric
