Script Doctor Eric
I love a good movie in the morning.
Today my fiancée and I caught the first showing of THE SOCIAL NETWORK at The Landmark. Because I hate going into a movie with too high of expectations, I won’t tell you how much I liked it.
I also don’t want to spoil the movie by talking about the scenes.
BUT
I will say this: If you want to learn how to write an opening scene, study the one in this film. Sure, it reminded me of some stuff from other Aaron Sorkin projects, but hell, that’s not a bad thing…
It also reminded me that good writing only gets you so far – without quality directing, acting, sound, and music, what good is a quality screenplay?
Enjoy the film. And…
Onward!
